Rainbow Mane: Pony Care is a gentle virtual pet game. Here is what you need to know as a parent, and how to get your money back if a purchase was a mistake.

Child mode

  • The app asks for the year of birth on first launch. Children get the child profile automatically.
  • In the child profile: ads are child-safe only (rated G, not personalised), no advertising ID, no location, no chat.
  • Real-money purchases are off by default.
  • A parent check (a maths question written in words) protects purchases, the parent area and every link that leaves the app.
  • Optional break reminder: after 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1.5 hours the pet gently suggests taking a rest.
  • The pet never dies and there are no punishments. If nobody plays for a couple of days, the pet falls into a Magical Sleep and can always be woken up for free.

Open the parent area in the app: Settings (⚙) → For parents.

Extra protection in Google Play

How to return a purchase

  1. Within 48 hours of buying: you can request a refund directly from Google Play. Open play.google.com → Order history, find the purchase and choose Request a refund (or Report a problem). Details: Google Play refund policies.
  2. After 48 hours, or if Google can’t help: write to us at support@rainbowmane.app. Include the order number (it starts with GPA. and is in the receipt email from Google Play) and a few words about what happened. We answer within a few working days.
  3. After a refund, the gold or items from that purchase are removed from the game.

The 14-day right of withdrawal (EU)

In the European Union, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. For digital content that is delivered immediately (like gold), this right can end once delivery starts — but only if you expressly agreed to immediate delivery and confirmed you lose the right when you paid. If that wasn’t clearly done, or a child bought something by mistake, write to us and we will sort it out fairly.

Your rights under consumer law (including the guarantee that digital content works as described) always apply, whatever happens.

Your child’s data

Game progress is stored only on the device. You can delete it at any time: For parents → Delete game data. You can also ask us what we hold and ask us to delete it. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
